What to grow, and when

Dirt Bag works in every season. Here's what to sow in it, month by month, the way the old almanacs told it.

  • March · April · May

    Spring

Peas, lettuce, radish and spinach. Start tomatoes and peppers indoors in a tray of Dirt Bag.

  • June · July · August

    Summer

Beans, squash, basil and sunflowers. Keep the soil moist and sow fresh greens every few weeks.

  • September · October · November

    Autumn

Garlic, kale, and spring bulbs. Top up your beds with fresh Dirt Bag before the frost.

  • December · January · February

    Winter

Herbs and microgreens on a sunny windowsill. Plan the beds and stock up for spring.

How it works

Open the bag

Pour Dirt Bag into a pot, bed, or tray. It's pre-treated, so there's nothing to mix or measure.

Add your seeds

Press seeds into the soil at the depth on their packet. The nutrients are already waiting.

Just add water

Water well and keep it damp. Then sit back and watch the sprouts come up.

Plant your corn when the oak leaves are the size of a squirrel's ear.

Old farmer's saying

Good dirt, done for you

Every Dirt Bag is treated with what seeds need to sprout and thrive. No testing, no mixing, no guesswork. Just good dirt, ready when you are.
